When the Heart is Ready, Love Appears

A friend and I spent some time reflecting on the loving impact a mutual mentor had in our lives. This woman entered mine and my friend’s life at a time of hardship – which looking back was really a time of Awakening. We laughed and cried a little as we remembered the lessons we learned, the ways we changed, and the love we received from this woman.

It is a well known statement, that when the student is ready the teacher appears. As I’ve reminisced and reflected on what was happening in my life all those years ago, I’ve come to the conclusion that When the Heart is Ready, Love Appears.

Love, a word that we use to refer to so many things. The love I am speaking of is a deep Spiritual Love. A love that is rooted in the Divine, Sacred, Spirit, God. Love that wants nothing but for you to connect with yourself in a nurturing and spiritual way. Love that sees your beauty and mirrors it back to you. Love that encourages recognition of your gifts which can be used to serve others. Love that inspires a wildly strong desire to share what you’ve learned with others. It is a love that first opens your eyes to your own True Nature and second opens your eyes to the True Nature of others.

Take a moment to reflect upon your personal experience of love. Who have your teachers been and what have you learned from them? If your life is lacking in deep love and connection, are you willing to open yourself and be seen by another? Sometimes it is pain and loss that forces us to open. There is something about pain that opens us in ways that we never could have opened before. If you are in a life transition, a time of loss, grieving what could have or should have been … allow this to be a time of Awakening. Allow this to be a time of welcoming in new beauty and connection.

Today, God, Universe, Great Mystery: Send a person or people into my life who can see me so that I a may see You and also see myself. Send a person or people into my life that will help me to connect with my Purpose and True Nature.
