Jessica Qualls
Hi, I'm Jessica Qualls, owner of Simply Unwind and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Florida, Colorado, and Utah. When we're stuck in anxiety, trauma, or relationship struggles, our systems wind tight - our breath becomes shallow, our bodies ache, and peace feels impossible. I specialize in helping you gently unwind through trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, EMDR, and mindfulness based practices. I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship issues, codependency, religious trauma, addiction, anxiety, and the weight of past wounds. I provide in-person therapy in Pensacola, FL and telehealth throughout Colorado and Utah. Life is hard, but it's a little less hard when you have a trusted guide. I would love to be a part of your healing process.
Carolina Hoyer
Hello, I am Carolina, clinical social worker and therapist! My path to this work was shaped by my own experience of navigating a new country, language, and identity — and that journey lives in everything I do. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, life transitions, identity exploration, and cross-cultural experiences. Whether you're navigating cultural shifts, feeling caught between worlds, or simply searching for a therapist who understands the complexity of belonging, I'm here for you. I have a special heart for supporting the Latin community through challenges that so often go unaddressed. Sessions are available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, because being heard in your native language is itself a part of healing. I am so glad you are here.
True Healing from the Inside Out
Often we turn away from pain. Past hurts, anxiety, sadness, and other forms of discomfort become a drive toward escapism. When stillness reveals sadness, we naturally move impulsively towards many forms of self-medication. Therapy is an intentional step towards discomfort. It is an announcement that ‘I will no longer run from what feels hard.’ Therapy is not a way to “fix” yourself- it is a safe space to explore, confront, and heal inner hurts. As we find healing and peace within, our external lives begin to take on a sense of peace and wellbeing.
Neuroscience Based Care
Therapists at Simply Unwind believe that a regulated nervous system is required if one wishes to heal. Our therapists are trained to work with your nervous system, helping you to calm the fight, flite, freeze, fawn response (four F’s). Rather you are here for individual or couple’s work, learning to regulate your nervous system is key to healing. A dysregulated nervous system is a survival state, a regulated nervous system is a thriving state - we want to assist you in your goals to thrive.
Mental, Physical, and Emotional Wellbeing
The mind and body work together to create your life experience. Simply Unwind offers holistic care for the whole person. Our therapists are trained psychotherapists, therapeutic yoga instructors, and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Care experts.
