Deepest Longing and Desire

What do you want?

I want to be awake, fully awake.

I want to notice the beauty in all things, not just the extravagant but the ordinary as well.

I want to feel deep love and compassion for myself and others.

I want to be present with the sorrows and sadness of this life, accepting the fact that heartbreak is part of being alive.

I want to laugh and experience joy in the mundane.

I want to pursue what matters and let go of my fear driven goals.

I want to follow the Wisdom that resides within.

I want to serve others and cultivate deeply connected relationships.

I want to understand why I do the things that I do so that I might let go of old, useless behaviors.

I want to live a courageous life where I say a loud “yes” to uncertainty, trusting that life is a safe place to live.

I want to surrender my perfectionist expectations of myself and others, embracing the Real, Messy nature of this life.

I want to go easy on myself and go easy on those that I love.

I want to live and know that I am alive.
